Hi, i preodered gw2 and loved it for awhile. I got a lvl 80 engineer and lost a lot of my interest in the game. I was hoping for a more end-game developed game. I’m returning from a 6 month break now and hoping it has changed. I just cant attach my self to the game anymore any ideas to change that?

GW2 isnt your standard endgame mmorpg, where you grind for 80-100+ levels in hopes of getting to the good and juicy content that may leave you satisfied. The cool thing about GW2 is instead of sticking all of the good stuff at the end, they’ve spread it evenly across most of the levels. As far things to do, theres plenty.

  • World completion/Exploration
  • Dungeons (Story and Explore Modes).
  • Personal Story
  • Living Story (Updated every 2 weeks with new content).
  • WvW (Roaming, Zerking, GvGs?)
  • sPVP (Hotjoin and Tournaments Solo or Team)

If you don’t enjoy doing any of the things above, than GW2 may not be the game for you.

Some obvious end-game content.

-Map completion
- Alts (there is 8 profession, and its easier to level them all and play those you prefer)
- Personnal Story (some are boring, but still its nice to see the story for all race and each order)
- Dungeons : there is 25 explorable path and 8 story path. Did you do all of them?
- Fractals : there is 50 level of these. How high can you reach?
- WvW : Zerging, Roaming, scouting, managing the updates, or be a commander. There is plenty to do to help your server.
- sPvP : PvP what i can say more.
- Go for a Legendary, its a long quest but rewarding at the end

I’m sure some of these don’t really interest you, but that a good list to start.

If you completed already what you wanted and don’t care about the remaining. Then you have pretty much 3 choices. Master 1 of these part of the game.

- Dungeon Speed Run : Form a dungeon team and push your profession and your team to the max. I how much time can you complete a path? Can you melee lupicus? And if yes can you do it in less than a minute?

- Guild WvW Raiding: A small Roaming group of 5-10 ppl or go all the way for a Guild Zerg of 15-30 ppl. Make sure your build work together, stay close, support each other and push in the middle of a enemy zerg with twice you numbers. Find other guild for some epic GvG.

- sPvP tournament. : If you prefer sPvP go all the way. Find you a team and again push yourself to become even better.

If you are too casual for that, but have still finish all in the first list but then maybe GW2 is not for you? Remember its a MMORPG not a single player game so you better player with some people if you want to appreciate the experience in the long run.
