Guild Wars 2

I have a “Hearty Bandit Longbow” and a “Hearty Bandit Sunderer” as my two weapons. I am running into an issue where I am unable to add any type of weapon runes to them. This means neither minor or major. I have an open slot on both weapons. Has anyone run into issues like this before? If so, maybe someone could help me in figuring out what I am missing as I have never had issues adding runes to weapons in the past.

check if weapon lvl is higher then lvl of sigil.

superior sigil require lvl60 weapon or higher
major sigil can only by put on lvl 35 or higher
for minor sigils don’t have requirement.

Lvl of upgrade can’t be higher then lvl of equipment.

And are you sure you are using sigils not runes?

maybe try to unequip weapon and put sigil from inventory window and not hero panel.

Runes are for armour, Sigils are for weapons

Also, all Sigils have a level requirement, whereby the level requirement of the weapon has to match or exceed that of the Sigil.

Check that the level of the weapon is higher or same as the rune/sigil you are trying to apply to it.
Or if you are on the Mac Beta Client it could be an issue from the Feb 13th patch as many people are having difficulties because of it.

Sorry, I meant to say Sigils, not runes. Anyways, I completely misunderstood the concept of what the level meant on the Sigils. I only thought it applied to the level of my character. Didn’t realize the weapon also had to be that level. Looks like I still have plenty to learn in this game. Thanks for being patient and answering my question.
