Hi, I´m with Braham at Cragstead and he should enlist my aid to retake it but he only welcome me. What can I do to continue the story? I´m elementalist level 49. Could it be a game bug?

You´re right, I unchecked it and it dissapeared.
As for the conspiracy theory I only meant that I think is fair to pay for “extras” ( like special clothing or dyes) but it should be less difficult to buy essential things (like manuals). I think that´s fair in games like Runes of Magic which are free and it´s a source of income, but here, we all paid for the game, right?
You said that those manuals aren´t important but they must help the player and boy, I need all the help I can get and sooner rather than later! :-)

The only main plot I can think of is the Personal Story. The stuff with Braham has nothing to do with that. The Flame & Frost stuff that Braham is part of is no longer available.

Braham at Cragstead is part of the living story. This is a side story in the form of temporary content.
This content is in the form of yellow text. You need the task in green text. You can find it on the top right corner of your screen. The level 50 storyline is called The battle of Claw Island. However this haven’t to be done at that level, so you can be ahead or before it

Thanks for your help, both of you. It´s the first time I play this kind of game online and I´m still lost, looking for the main story. So, if I understood correctly there´s a living story which changes with the player levels. I love this game but I find it a little difficult specially because can´t earn Money enough to buy my Elementalist Manual!

Living Story stuff is not based on level. It is content that changes from month to month.
Each Personal Story step has level recommendations but you can do them at whatever level you want. Of course trying to do them when you are too many levels below is going to be difficult to impossible(without help).
If you are trying to buy the first training manual check on the trading post. Right now you can get one for around 6s30c instead of 10s from the trainer.

When the game was released there was and still is a main personal story (green). This is the main story and shows in green letters at the top right corner of your map and thats what your supposed to do.
The living story shows in yellow. You can do that at any given level, but only during a short period of time. The main purpose for this is to provide people who finished the main storyline with things to do while we wait for the next expansion.
The Braham storyline was introduced in march and was taken out of the game in may.
So you can’t do that anymore.
What is in the top right corner of your screen showing in green text??

What I don´t understand is this: If those quests are finished, why do they appear on my screen?
I´m trying to buy the second manual but with the travel and fixing my armor, I never have more than 70 White coins. By the way, don´t you think the prices are very steep? Is that so the player has to buy coins with real Money?

People keep going for that conspiracy theory but no … well it’s an option. It was a bit steep on the first character but after that it doesn’t matter. I have bought 9 of the first two manuals and 8 of the third(I could get a ninth easily but I don’t like any of the mesmer grandmaster traits). Also while the manual have level requirements it doesn’t mean you have to get them as soon as you reach that level.
Finally saw you screenshot. You are actually seeing that because you have the achievement selected for the tracker. If you open the achievement panel and uncheck it that will go away. The current thing is stuff for Dragon Bash.
Not related to this… but I would recommend you not repairing your armour at all, until you get to level 80. At low levels you find new pieces of armour fast enough, so instead of repairing you can just replace the old armour with a new and better one.
You know, I tried to do that but once I found myself fighting only with panties!!! The funny thing is I felt so ashamed! I found only a few armor pieces and if I wanted to buy they were very expensive. Anyway I know I´ll get my manual eventually and meanwhile I´ll try and do more quests.
Ye, the ele is squishy. I started with one as well. In the end she turned out pretty awesome and happy, but I must have spent a fortune on repairs.
What I did for money was: I used the deposit crafting materials button all the time to save inventory space and i used every gathering node I could find. Every time I needed a book or I needed a new set of armor I would sell all my gathered materials. This brought me to 80 with all books. The final gear I brought with karma (exotic) and my ele is now awesome. But I have to say, compared with my engineer and my guardian it was a pain. (I actually had to take a break halfway to step away from her, and thats when i leveled my engineer to 80. Loyalty to a character is important and I went back and got her to 80 as well, but you might want to try it if you have so much trouble with money cause of armor repairs.)

You’re level 50, but you’re only up to level 26 of your main story. That means you’ve outleveled your main story by 25 levels or so. It’s the green text on the right side of your screen.
