Can't create Revenant

Hi all, I’m new around here. I just purchased Heart of Thorns yesterday and registered the code to upgrade my original Guild Wars 2 account.

Now, since it’s beta weekend, I see that I have 4 extra slots for beta characters. However, I can’t seem to create a Revenant in any of them. The option is greyed out and it tells me to upgrade to Heart of Thorns. Did I miss any step or anything?

The beta starts at noon pacific time. That’s 8pm UK/9pm Europe.
