Guild Wars 2

So my first playthrough to lvl 80 was done alone. I started a new character and am currently at lvl 21.

I can never find players to level with though. I tried multiple guilds, asking in general chat, and trying to invite players I see in the field. It is kind of boring at times going solo all the time. The worst is when I find a champion that I want to fight and nobody is willing to help out. Not any guilds or players in the general area. (happening right now lol)

tl;dr- I would like to find players to level and explore with but it seems like there is no guild, or general players who wanna party up or just help out. Any ideas why?

Hi Gizmo, sorry to hear you couldn’t find anyone around to help you out.

It is normally quite easy to find players if you try to shout out in the map for help (/m in the chat dialogue). If there are players in the map, they would tend to rally (especially for champions, big events, tough vet in a skill point, etc.)

Which server are you on? Could be due to the timing you log in as well.

I have had similar experiences where you have the impression that you may be the only one in that map – you don’t seem to meet/cross paths with other players if you see what i mean And Oh Joy, when you do see another player – haha.

I am on Henge of Denravi and my guild is based on Ehmry Bay so no issues with guesting and enjoying the game together

thx for the advice. Im trying to avoid guesting since im looking for players to stick around with. Oh and players tend to ignore my pleas for help with champions for whatever reason lol

Really??! Ignoring calls for help is not very nice – the community is by large very helpful.

It definitely varies server to server. I switched servers before it cost $ the first server was totally dead nobody doing DEs or anything. I switched to another story and there were lots of people around… ymmv

I am a newb and have just started, I believe I am on Anvil Rock? You are definitely welcome to play with me as well, I have a lvl 20 warrior at the moment.

I have the same problem. Trying in guild chat, map chat, had my group listed in the LFG tab now the past 2 days…noone at all so far. Im starting to belive this game is dead or people are just ignorant. I simply want someone to do the season 2 quest achievements with for the mastery points. I whispered every player i seen run past me with a mastery lvl of 12 – 90 because i know they definetly need the mastery points but only answer i get are mostly “i want to complete the quests before going back for achievements” or “im doin more important stuff right now, maybe later”. My display name is Mithiel.5021 if there is a kind soul out there who would like to acompany me doin some mastery achievements and maybe even relax on discord meanwhile No worries, i got all the guides up next to me so i do all the pre work for the achievements. But yeah kina loosing hope after 2 days of looking.
