I’ve been playing for less than 1 month, so there is alote I don’t know yet.

Just know I was doing the Boss Blitz were you have to defeat all the champions in the Queen’s Pavilion, each boss gives you xp and karma (the idea is to kill them all at once, not 1 at a time, but that is not important here).
So, I got gold participation in 5 of 6 of the bosses, in this run. In the 6th boss, I got dc’ed around 10% of his life pool.
Logged back on 1 hour later, to find out that I didn’t get the “event” (after all 6 bosses down) reward, big BIG chest, and like 30% or more xp.
I heard that I’ve should get these rewards even if I log out before completing something, but I didn’t get any reward for this run.
Its not a loot problem, I’m talking about those chests that pops on your screen.
So can you get rewards even if you log out or not? If yes, where is it? Or it happens only in cases like geting a skill point reward?

I think they may have meant, if the chest already appeared, you could still log out and open it later.

If you log out or DC before an event ends then you won’t get rewarded for it. If you log out after the event ends, when you log back in any rewards that shows up on your UI will appear.

The only exception may be if you are lagging badly and DC when the event ends but before it registers on your computer. This happened to me once at the Karka Queen. I lagged, the event ended and then I DC’d. No reward when I came back.

Yesterday i was really surprised when i did my mining runs in Dredgehaunt Cliffs, and relogged to look if i land in another instance, but it was the same instance and after a few seconds i was rewarded for an event.

However normally i also would say you don’t get any rewards when you have a DC before the end of an event.

yeah, I’m not mad or anything, I just wanted to be sure. I got dc’ed because the eletric power went down, that probably gave me a few seconds to register out of the game, but I can only assume that not long enogh for the event to be over!

You may still get credit for the event if you get DC’d and then log back in, so long as it’s the same server. But you have to actually be logged in when the event finishes to get credit. You waited an hour after the event finished and the game doesn’t award progress to those offline.

one more thing, if you leave the zone (the map), not the area close to the event, I mean changing maps, do you also don’t get the reward for the event you participated in the previously zone?

AFAIK, Correct. Leaving the map zone will disqualify you from getting an event reward.
