(Warning, lots of drama)

So I’m a Level 80 Human Ranger. When I picture the Story quests, I picture them being soloable. The final quest, isn’t soloable at all. Having to ask for help from real players, isn’t soloing.
I can’t even do the first part of it, which is to gather the first … whatever it is. Power Cores or something. There’s a small group, with two Elite risens. I can’t just run past and gather them. I’m forced to fight this unending spawning group.

My issue isn’t killing. This is nothing but a DPS speed race. I suck at these. Manage to kill an Elite after a minute battle. It only respawns 30 seconds later. It’s just too punishing.
Advice to get through this would be great. If anyone else is having an issue doing this first thing (solo wise), don’t hesitate to reply. Otherwise, I might as well rage uninstall. As I obviously suck at this.

The problem is that is a dungeon, recommended 5 players, and in fact you need at least two players to hold down pressure plates at the first gate.

There are a ton of threads with people talking about being unhappy they must do a dungeon.

There are also a ton of people willing to help. I’m one of them. I see you’re not in game right now. Are you NA? If so, hop back in game and I’ll organize a run for you and others in need. It’s a pretty easy dungeon if you have a guide.

(This offer good right now, and at later days/times when I’m not involved in other things, but may not be good if I get called on by guildies for stuff before you ping me).

I rage quitted. Back on, though. I’m on the Yak’s Bend server, if that helps.

People usually group up for the story dungeon pretty fast. Just set aside some time for it. It can take about 40+ mins just from all the waiting you have to do. It’s not terribly difficult, just time consuming. Use the in game group finding feature or get help from people on the forum. In less than an hour you can knock it out. No drama needed.

Yep, we LFG’d it and filled in half a second. Just got through, and OP is enjoying the after party, I believe.

Came to ask about the same question, good to see this answer. Although not being the most proficient player and also somewhat of a glass cannon, a ranger with a precision/power/ferocity priority in my stats, I am not too comfortable with asking others to help me complete. I was only killed once in my entire personal story up to this point but this is on a different level….

Eep, I just saw this and am heading to bed. I’ll be glad to lead another run through tomorrow afternoon (eastern time, Sunday). But if you don’t want to wait for me all you need to is head to the entrance, post an LFG for Arah Story with a note about “my first run” or something similar. You should have a full group in seconds because of everyone waiting for someone else to be the group starter.
