Cannot report teleport bots
Yep, I tried using the old /report from gw1, but nada. I wouldn’t have thought it was too hard to at least add a bot report function to the support tab?
There is a workaround which is almost as simple as /report.
You can /w <botname> Caught! (or whatever you want) so that your whisper to him appears in your chatwindow, then rightlick his name. When you rightclick the botters name, you will have the menu option to report him.

Worth a try. Unfortunately the ones I have seen are extremely fast so it’s hard to catch the name. When you add gibberish names on top of that, like Fkgjsjlyc, it makes it even harder. If they do have a name I can get in the second I see them, I’ll try that method. They need to give us a way to report them other than that.
We caught one by adding the character name to friends to get the account name, reporting from the friends interface context menu, then following up with a more detailed report through the support website. After a few days we never saw that account online again.
If you miss their name when they first teleport in, watch the next closest node for a second shot.

I screenshot it when I can (which is almost as often as I see it) and email that to exploits@arena.net

I was lucky enough to report one near HotW entrance. Luckily the animation was long enough for me to take his name down and report. He’ll probably see this post and come up with excuses to get me banned now… >.<

Good suggestion, although I’d still prefer a method where the botter has no idea of who was the person who reported him.
What I usually do is if I see somebody appear suddenly out of nowhere at a node, I immediately click on them, right-click their portrait and choose “Report”. If they run off normally afterwards, I skip the report, but if they disappear immediately again afterwards, I send the report.

Not necessarily a great idea to tell them who reported them I’d suggest.
The advantage of adding them to your friends list is that you only need their character name, you don’t have to select them at all. You just type the name into the “add” box and you can easily right click and report then remove them immediately. Unless they’re checking their followers, they’ll never know. I like to keep them on for a while to see if they ever stop logging in.
I also think it helps to get the account name and fill out a support ticket so you can explain that they’re a teleporter so the ANet folks know what to look for.

@Kraggy:
I don’t have a problem with any cheater knowing I reported them. Most likely noone will ever read the whisper anyway, because…..well, the characters are botted. I do not believe people who use those teleport cheats to farm mats stay sitting at their PC and watch their char do it. But even if they see it, I still don’t mind.
