New player here, and I cant quite figure out the runes. I figured as much I’d have to acquire some corresponding runes to the matching armor in order to get the upgrades, but I guess I figured wrong. I bought three (3) Major Runes of Lyssa for the three (3) slots in the gloves, and a Minor Rune of Mercy for the legs.

But when I try to add those runes to said items, they become red. When I try to add the runes to the opposite items, it warns me that the previous upgrade will be destroyed.

So, uhhhh… Help plz?

Each armor piece has one slot for runes (upgrades). Major runes offer 4 bonuses if one of the same rune is applied to 4 different pieces of armor. If you want all 4 bonuses from the Major Rune of Lyssa you have to apply one to 4 different armor pieces. For example placing one in chest, one in gloves, one in leggings and one in boots. The same will apply when you progress to using Superior runes later on. You will need to have one the same rune in all 6 pieces of armor to get the full 6 bonuses.

Major runes require a minimum armor level of 39 to apply and Superior runes require a minimum armor level of 60.

When you apply a rune to an armor piece with an existing rune it will be overwritten or in other words destroyed hence the warning you received.
