Hey guys, I missed out on the Seeds of Truth living story so it is locked for me, I just want to know if there is a way to get carapace leggings without unlocking this myself; I’ve tried playing through No Refuge w/ a friend but you dont get the reward at the end (this is probably obvious but I didnt know that was the case, I thought at least doing it would let me buy it with crests from the vendor but no such luck).

Any other methods or do I just have to suck it up and pay 200 gems essentially for this 1 skin?

Do sw and buy it for 1k crests. Or do sw bosses, it will drop eventually from boss chest. Or do chest farm and hope you get it.

It dosent go on the vendor until you complete No Refuge (A-net troll right there IMO) but you’re sure it drops from boss chest? Wiki says it only has a chance of dropping the chest-armor, I just wanna make sure before I drive myself crazy farming VW

I’m pretty sure you have to do the Seeds of Truth to get the legs. Though you can repeat it on alts to get more legs of other weights and not spend any more, so really you’re getting 3 skins. Plus, y’know, there’s a story and other content, and doing the achieves (though they are the hardest ones of the 8 chapters) gets you an ascended trinket. It’s not just the skin.

Thanks Donari, yea and 200 gems isnt that much, I’ll try to keep that mentality I’ve hunted all over the wiki and learned a bunch of stuff I didnt know about the game and SW in general too, so I guess I came away with some knowledge, lol

The only parts that are bugged are the Challenge Motes. The chapters are fully playable, and you can get the basic completion rewards for each one, as well as most of the achievement rewards. The Carapace skins are all rewards for finishing the chapters, with the exception of the chest (which only drops from Vinewraith) and boots (which you unlock by doing a Silverwastes achievement).
