I am a P/D Thief running a 20/0/30/20/0 build. I currently am stacking Carrion Gear and am getting ready to make my first Ascended purchase and can not find anything resembling a piece of Carrion.

Can anyone suggest to me what I should be using for my Ascended slots ? I really dont want to give up my Carrion stats is the problem, but I am open for suggestions. My build is based on bleed, duration, and condition damage utilizing my power as a filler.

The only way for you to keep alteration damage as a main stat would be to go for Rabid gear. So any one of those 6 amulets would do:
- Hymn to the Prophets
- The Sleeping Seed
- Speaker’s Dawncord
- Symbol of the Deceiver
- Jade Wind Orb
- The Master’s Special Serum

I guess you intend to purchase it with laurels, which is why my advice is centered on amulets. Rings aren’t worth purchasing with laurels as you can drop them in fractals 10 and up.

I appreciate the response. I am a bit nervous at the concept of loosing some base power, but I am beginning to look into different food buffs and utility buffs to gain that power back from the vitality – toughness multipliers.

Then you might want to go with the Rampager ones, losing a bit in alteration:
- Nornbear’s Remembrance
- Petrified Skull Juju
- Luxon Pendant

Im liking the first set you displayed. If I combine that with Superior Sharpening Stones and a Plate of Fire Flank Steak, I should gain back what I lost in power in the benefits the food buffs and utilities give me through toughness and vitality with added survivability no?

I don’t know your toughness and vitality stats but it looks very likely that you will gain back this 126 power loss when the plate only already gives you back 100.

ArenaNet has said they’re going to add in the missing stat combos some time later (including Carrion), so you might want to wait for that.
