In Kessex Hills, underneath Cereboth Canyon there’s a cave with some oozes and river drakes. Getting past there leads you to a giant rock wall, which if you destroy…a small child starts crying for help. Now, I’m a little confused as to whether the child is even inside of the cave at all, but he claims to have fallen down the hole, and as much as I’d like to save him, whenever I look for things relevant to Cereboth Canyon, all I find is the jumping puzzle.

So…where the heck is the kid? I kind of want to get him out of there, if he’s in there.

The kid is a she, and for what it’s worth, you better not save her. Her tactics is to literally sit like a sitting duck whenever destroyers come, making an otherwise short travel a very time consuming one. And if you try to clear things out beforehand, she’ll run all the way back to the starting point.

If you insist, the child is indeed inside a cave, you can access her via the cave near the eruption event (forgot the actual name).

You have to go to the area with the lava and destroyers to the west. There is a cave entrance under the heart NPC and she is down there.

There is also a hole in the ground leading to her, north of the Cereboth waypoint. There are usually bats flying around the entrance, iirc.

Yes I died a couple of times jumping in this, lived a couple of times too so you need to aim a bit.

Yeah, this is the event – the wiki doesn’t give much details though. And quite often the destroyer harpy event will spawn which makes it much harder.
