Hello I am very confused about the amour you can buy in the gem store. I got the profane amour (only for classes using light amour sets) I am a Ranger and only use medium amour. I got the profane set without realizing that this could happen.

Anyway is there anyway I can edit my ranger to use light amour please answer

Unfortunately, Rangers can only use medium armor. I find it stupid that they can’t wear light armor, but there’s Anet for you. I would recommend creating an elementalist or some other light armor class that can use that. That’s pretty much the only option, sorry. Complain to Anet and they may take pity on you, but I doubt it.

There is no way to wear an armour class not suited to your character’s profession.

I made the same mistake because I wasn’t paying attention. I ended up just rolling a light armor character to use it on an alt. It’s a bummer for sure but it gave me a good reason to try a new profession that I had put on the back burner.

You might write to support explaining that you have made a mistake and asking if they can exchange it for a medium version. Sometimes they do listen and help out, so it’s not a waste of time.

Edit: Oh wait, it doesn’t have a medium version, does it? In that case making a light armor class is the only option.

Don’t worry thanks for the ideas I will just buy the medium amour for my guy and then use the light amour on a new class. Thanks anyway
