Q:

Hello there fellow adventurers!

When GW2 Launched I played it heavily for the first month and loved evrey second of it. In that month I managed to reach the highest level, and obtained the best loot in all slots. I did some exploring, crafting and ofcourse pvp. After that I became bored and quit the gameā€¦

I recently bought a new computer, and would love to give GW2 another try. What I mainly would like to ask is are the following questions:

-Has endgame (itemization) been improved; It only took me a week to get full exotic gear. Is exotic still best in slot (legendaries not included), or can I now find better gear in the dungeons?
-How is WvWvW like these days?
-Has endgame in overall been improved?
-Is there anything else you think I really need to know?

I thought it would be easier to ask you guys then to go through 12 months of patch notes. Thanks in advance!

  • Itemization was increased through ascended items and infusions. Currently you can get ascended items in Fractals, from Guild Missions, and from laurels earned through dailies.
  • WvW has seen a major improvement with the removal of culling and the addition of ranks & ability points.
  • Yes, endgame has improved significantly with Fractals, Guild Missions and Living Story.
  • New content every 2 weeks, don’t know what else you’re interested in, there’s been tons of changes since you last played.

No offense, but pretty much nobody considers Fractals or the Living Story “end game”. There is currently no worthwhile end-game at all.

The new content is also lacking. It’s the same stuff, “Go fetch 200 of these items, now go press f 100 times in this place, and now go visit some of these people”, but in different places with different scenery. Other than that, everything else is right.

There is so much to do it’s insane. And I would absolutely consider living story and fractals apart of end game.

There’s been loads and loads of new stuff, a lot of it was temporary for a few weeks, so you have missed out and Anet are not going to repeat a lot of it…so bad luck…

But every 2 weeks you get a new content update, so get on the train and try to tune in every 2 weeks to try the new stuff out…
