Is it possible to de-select the current personal story quest (or other quests) so it will just focus on items that the player needs on the map?

When I’m completing the different maps its great at pointing out things I need on the map (saves me having to look up the locations via an external website). But as soon as a personal story becomes available, it is constantly directing me to that target location, which is annoying as when nearing the end of the map completion I want to carry it through.

So does anyone have any ideas how to change the direction focus?

Yes! You’re looking at the content guide. If you go to your F11 gameplay options, there’s a dropdown box next to Content Guide. For map completing, you’d want to set it to either “Disable Personal Story” or “Disable Events and Personal Story”. That’ll lock it to only the POIs, Waypoints, Vistas, Challenges, and Renown Hearts you need.
