Guild Wars 2

Hello, I purchased Guild Wars 2 today, I fancy myself a heavy Roleplayer, but at this point in time the “Tarnished Coast” server is full, that is – from what I’ve read – that is the unofficial RP server, apparently this is due to WvW – can anyone tell me when this will be over? Is there a time the matches end? Because I feel like if I spend 50$ on a game I should be able to get the experience I have heard so many good things about..

Now separate question, I’ve heard multiple things about server changing, one moment it costs gems, the other thing I hear it’s free – but only every seven days – I want to start playing this game badly, but I do not want to start the game and have to buy 35$ of gems to change the server, any help would be appreciated.

The seven day thing is outdated, that’s how it worked at launch and was thankfully fixed.

Now you can either pay the gem/gold price, or delete your characters and choose a new server for free. If you have low-level toons that you haven’t invested a lot of time in, that shouldn’t be a problem.

I’m not sure if the full status will alow you to, though. You may need to wait until it opens.

You can still guest there but you can’t do WvW as a guest. You can still do PvE, join PvE parties etc.
