I just crafted the Svaards Greatbow (Marauder stats) and realize Id rather play a condi build and just burn everything in sight. Can I do the mystic forge thing and change my Svaard greatbow into a Yassiths Greatbow? (Viper stats)

yes, if you craft a vipers orichalcum imbued inscription, you can use the forge to change the stats

Mystic Forge recipe to change Ascended Weapon stats are…

• 1x Ascended Weapon
• 1x Anthology of Heroes (purchased from Miyani and other Attendants)
• 1x Orichalcum Imbued Inscription of the stats you want
• 5x Globs of Ectoplasm

Really? That doesnt seem right to me. Considering the Yassiths takes WAY more mats to make than the Svaards when you factor in the 50 Fulgerite you need. The mats for that alone are nuts. I guess I will get the Orichalc ins and throw them in the toilet and see what I get

Thanks. Luckily I just made it this weekend and have not put anything into a slot on the weapon. So no upgrades will be lost. I just have to run AB meta a few time to get enough Aurillium(sp?) to purchase the viper orichalc recipe.

That’s why people often craft ascended with core stats and forge it to HoT stats. I have other uses for my fulgurite.

(The price is otherwise comparable to crafting from scratch — you need the same amount of mats for the gear and you need to make two insignia|inscriptions rather than just one, plus the ecto.)
