Guild Wars 2

Hey Guys. Im fairly new to the game. Im looking for a character to make. I have a Elementalist and its fun, just really not my style, I’d like a character that is good for solo, I do alot of solo. Also that can level up at a good rate and has good survivability. Any ideas?

Guardian FTW! I’m sure several classes would meet your criteria, but Guardian fits it best and will have the most longevity in the game (it’s a great class at lvl 80 for high end material and will always be welcome in group play).

It is a heavy so has heavy armor and a lot of blocks, making survivability no issue. Grab a great sword or hammer and go to down killing everything in sight. You’ll have a blast.

I’m with Beorn. I’m leveling my second guardian and it’s really fun. I routinely end up underleveled in an area and find myself able to take on groups of monsters up to 3 or 4 levels higher than myself. They’re very versatile, dungeon groups love you, and awesome for soloing.

Or you can try warrior. Like a guardian, minus the buffs plus more health. Also has higher DPS. I don’t find it as fun as Guardian because I love being a bit more helpful to groups and warriors tend to only bring their DPS and rez banner. Guardians have a lot of buffs.

BUT. if you’re going solo, you don’t care about that stuff. I also found I was able to survive killing mobs higher leveled than me while on my warrior.

Just as a closing note, I took my first guardian and 100%ed Malchors Leap, which is a 75-80 zone, while she was lvl 72. Didn’t even get to lvl 75 out of it. /shrug

Yes. Guardian has high survivability, hence good to solo PvE with.
Guardian has nice AoE,, hence good to farm mobs with.
