Why? So people would become able to “buy” lvl 80 characters with 100% map exploration, …
Or because you’re playing with someone else on 1 account?
I don’t like this idea, and I see absolutely no reason why they should ever implement it…
(but maybe that’s just my blind opinion, feel free to enlighten me about the pro’s of such a feature because all I see are con’s)

Agreed 10000000% no offense op maybe im missing something but that sounds like a horrible idea. I don’t really want the possibility of someone hacking my account and literally stealing my character haha.

It’s say that you lend your account to a friend/family so they can try the game out to see whether they like it, so they can decide to buy it or not – since there isn’t a demo or a free trial of the game, that is about the only way possible for someone to try it. Then if they decide to buy the game, they’d naturally want to keep the character; transfer it to their new account they bought.
That’s my opinion on it, anyway. Buying/selling characters is silly, and I don’t understand how anyone would pay for something like that.
Honestly, I can see the want for this, but the unfortunate thing is that it would be abused.
I mean, there are probably precautions that ANet can take to make sure that someone doesn’t walk off with your character, but that only goes so far.
