Guild Wars 2

just got my 7th character slot!! im really having trouble deciding between necro, mes, and ranger. i am not experienced at all with these classes… im a pve/wvw player and i pretty well like to play anything that is fun, any suggestions? (PS if you’re on Blackgate server add me so we can level our new alts!!)

Ranger and necro perform best in condition damage applications. If looking to do direct damage go for the mesmer. There are people who like to do certain things with just one profession, but if you already have 6 characters I doubt you’re one of them.

Rangers who don’t think about their pets fail.

Necromancers who don’t think about death shroud fail.

The rest, you can probably figure out/already know.

I have all three, and I love them all.

I don’t PvE (as far as dungeons/fractals go) but I do WvW and love it and there are great builds you can make for all of those professions for WvW.

I personally love my necromancer the most. I feel invincible with the amount of AOE they have between staff and wells, it feels like everything dies so quickly…and I don’t die because I can heal conditions off and jump into death shroud if I think I might die and it’s like having an extra health bar.

Rangers are fun because every pet has a different ability that you can choose from.

Mesmers are just fun all around as well, between stealth and portals and making copies of yourself that blow things up with purple lasers and butterflies. :P
