Charged Quartz Crystals
Hi,
I was wondering, are there other ways to acquire these? 1 per day isn’t enough for me. Wiki says there is a chance they may drop from wintersday and trick-o-treat bags. I already tried by opening few stacks x250 but nothing came out. Is it possible the info from wiki to be incorrect? Mining my home quartz node ain’t an option as well. Any other ways that I’m missing?
Pretty sure it’s either small chance from the node or conversion once a day. You don’t need a lot, anyway, unless I’m missing something.

It’s just that I’m crafting some items that need cqc. So you’re saying that the wiki info is incorrect?

No, my wording was bad. I was saying I don’t know any ways other that you’d mentioned.
I think the Quartz nodes in Dry Top also have a chance to output the charged crystals, but that chance is really, really, really low.
Effectively, your only option is the daily charging as the other options have such a low chance as to be too expensive or time consuming to use.

Never seen that and I’ve spent a lot of time in dry top.
Charged quartz dropped from Wintersday gifts last year, it was nerfed early in the update and this year they were removed entirely.
Daily fusing and random chance from home instance node. That’s it.
So sad to hear. Anyway thx guys for the info. hF :>

It wasn’t nerfed last year. It was removed.

- Fixed a bug that caused Charged Quartz Crystals to drop instead of Quartz Crystals.
I have never seen Charged Quartz drop from the nodes in Dry Top, only the one in your Home Instance. (And it’s still quite rare. Maybe a 1 in 100 chance, based on my experience.)
Mawdrey (and possibly the Star of Generosity) have a small chance to drop Charged Quartz from their gifts. However, it’s again so rare that I wouldn’t rely on this to get your Charged Quartz.
Check your WvW bonuses before you mine; you’re more likely to get the charged drop from the node once you’re at 18% gathering bonus.
You only need to use charged quartz, if you are crafting celestial gear.
If you are crafting mawdrey, sinister/ventari gear or the new bountiful/furious nourishments, for those you can buy the components that require charged quartz on the TP.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
It is easier to collect enough Quartz Crystals (home node or Dry Top) you can always go to some easy places to charge them such as Shaemoor Garrison in Queensdale if you do not have the Place of Power in your home instance. Crystal collecting is super easy in Dry Top as there are lots of nodes to collect for that.
