Hello. I’d like to know if there’s an option to link on chat ‘custom’ weapons/armours and stuff like that. I remember that my friend linked me his imaginary item(basically name) about half a year ago, but I never knew how.

Is there some kind of code I can use to show an item with the name I choose?

Almost every item in Guild Wars 2 Wiki have a chat code that you can use. Now you can’t show an item with the name you choose. It was fixed some months ago. You can see all the discussion about it here.

You can hold down shift and click on an item in your inventory to past it into chat (works with POI and Waypoints as well). Or there are chat codes for stuff – Dulfy has a list:
