Hello everyone, Im haveing problems choosing who I want to be my main character…

Im currently running a Ranger as my main, because thats what I played in GW1, but i dont know…they dont seem to have the same impact they did in GW1 anymore…

What would yall consider being a good main for Raiding, Soloing Story, and alittle WvW?

I’d choose Ranger. But, that’s just me.

Try playing around with some other classes other than the ranger, see which interests you most about their builds. See which you have most fun with and you’re able to survive most places, do metas, events etc.

I have a rotation between ranger, warrior, mesmer, engi, guard and necro. But only for what I’m in the mood for at particular times. Also helps if you have the available gear to equip them with.

The medium armor classes are all pretty lame compared to soldier and scholar classes in this game. That said, don’t worry about raiding or WvW. Play the class you enjoy the most. You will end up making several characters for play different parts of the game.

EDIT: IMO they are pretty lame. I used to play Ranger and Dervish in the original game, but I rarely play medium classes now.

I often hear Ranger/Druid, Mesmer/Chrono, Ele/Tempest are shoe-ins for Raids, but other classes are taken as well, it depends mostly on your build then your profession there.

WvW, it depends on what role you want to play. Solo roaming, front line, mid line or back line, it changes how you play there.

Soloing story can be done with any, but the best solo classes are Ranger and Necro, cuz pets/minions.

Everyone gets an opinion. I have like 6k hours or so on my 3 medium armor classes. They’re my 3 most played classes by far, and account for like 95% of my PvP games combined.
