Guild Wars 2

Hey everyone. Returning to the game after a bit (hoping to stay this time!), and I’m trying to think of what class to play.

Back in the day, I was an engineer and was a huge fan. After HoT (which I’ve never played), I heard about the new specs and all.

My main areas of focus are sPvP and PvE. What is the most fun, in your own opinion? What is a good class for both of those? Thanks!

Anet has balanced the classes so that you’re just going to get a bunch of random “der I like this and I’m 10 years old” responses. Everything is at least reasonably good at everything. Play what you want. Engi is a very solid prof so have at it.

I don’t do much PvP, only in Festivals, so I can’t say much about PvP Professions.

I enjoy Ranger (not Druid) for PvE. Necromancer and Reaper Profession are a lot of fun, as well.

Everything is good, solid, and can do any content. What is “fun” is really about you – for example, I love DD thief, necro, and ranger. I want to love Guardian because they lore appeals to me, but I just … can’t.

If you are not me, you will find my choices abhorrent, just as I can’t understand why anyone can play guard … but they do, and love it.

Engi is a solid choice for both gametypes. If you like that, enjoy it. only reason to switch is if you just want variety (but you have more than one character slot, so there’s that.)
