Hello,

should I keep collection items that I get as drops for my precursor collections? I unlocked all precursors, so I get quite a few items as I run around the gameworld. I keep those that need to be crafted into an other item, but what about those that you only need once to get a tick on the collection list. So far I kept them on my storage alt, but ow they have started piling up. So can I vendor them and still complete the collections? Or should I buy more bag slots? :O

Generally if they are only used to fill a collection and you have credit for them in that collection, you can ditch them. A very few are needed as later components. If you have questions about any particular one, look it up on the wiki. There are some confusing and incomplete areas there (I find the Chuka and Champawat entry a lot harder to navigate than the HOPE one, for instance, which makes sense as it’s the newest one and has had the least amount of feedback and polishing time). However, for the most part, if a legendary collection item will be needed later, that will be noted in the wiki entry for it.

Also I understand that the norn in LA will restock you with lost components that are actually needed later, for karma. I have not needed his services myself so I’m unclear on the details, though I gather it involves a different dialogue section or different tab.

I know I tossed most everything along the way as I made HOPE, except for the ones I wanted for their cool RP factor, and I never lost anything I needed for the end product.

I think you’ll need to check each one individually as they’re not consistent.

I know for example that some of the items needed for the 1st tier Bifrost collection you have to hold onto to complete the collection, but others you can get rid of as soon as they’ve been added to the collection.

I held onto everything until I’d completed the collection they were part of and the crafting stage that followed it, then sold or deleted them all. But I was only working on 1 collection at a time.
