Has A-net ever said that there will never be any use for the junk items (gray text drops)? In GW1 there was no use for monster parts initially, but when events came around there were collectors for them, and after a couple years they added Nicholas the Traveler.

I have been holding on to all my junk stuff waiting to see if there would be any halloween event collectors, so now I’m thinking of ditching it all, but I’d be unhappy if I did and they added collectors at the Wintersday event.

I’m out of bank space as it is, so I certainly won’t be saving up anything.

Think of it like this. If they DO introduce a Nicholas the Traveler, then you’ll miss out once. If they don’t, you’ll have tons of junk taking up space for months.

It’s up to you. I don’t think there has been an official response.

There won’t be junk item collectors, ever. That’s why they’re junk items. The reason they even exist is to add a constant bit of cash flow from killing enemies, and fill up inventory so that at some point you have to stop and sell.
