Just checking – if I want to unlock all three colored Spinal Blades (Dynamic/Static/Synergistic), do I have to make 3 sets of Tempered Spinal Blades from scratch (so need three sets of blueprints) or is there some way of shortcutting that?

yes, you need to make 3 Tempered Spinal Blades. there was never a way to change a Dynamic one to a Static one, unfortunately.

The blueprints are the cheapest part of the process — they are available on the TP for less than a gold (even at instant-buy prices).

The one shortcut that is available is that you should infuse at the same time you change the color of the backpack:

• Tempered (non-infused)
• 10 cores
• 1 glob of mists essences
• Gift of Ascension

That gives you the the colorized + infused pack, skipping the process of infusing the tempered original and saving you a stack of ecto + a second gift of ascension and a second glob. (Unfortunately, 10 power cores are still much more expensive than just the stack of ecto — it’s only a great deal these days if you were planning to colorize anyhow.)
