Q:
Combining boosters to level up by crafting ?
A:
tl;dr “crafting xp” is what you need to rank up your crafting discipline; it doesn’t affect your level directly. Instead, the faster you rank up crafting, the faster you gain XP for ranking up.
For crafting, find fireworks that boost “XP from all sources”, get the guild bartender buff for crafting, and (if you have one) a booster that affects crafting xp. Alternatively, level more traditionally using food, utilities, and nearly all the other xp buffs (which tend only to affect XP gained from killing foes).
There are several types of experience in the game. Generally, when the text says “experience,” it means “points needed to increase your character’s level.” If it specifies something else, as in this case, it refers to one of the other types of XP.
For crafting, there’s “crafting xp” which happens as you gain crafting ranks. You can also get a “critical” for ranking, in which you gain extra rank points for this or that (e.g. discovering a new recipe). The second bonus increases the chance you’ll get more of these.
Only a few types of buffs actually add to the XP you gain from learning crafts; you want to look for “experience from all sources” (not “in all game types”).
The wiki’s article on xp doesn’t really clarify which boosts affect “all sources” versus which are mode-specific versus which are traditional (meaning affects XP from kills only).
It’s theoretically possible to gain nearly quadruple the XP, with enough buffs. in practice, you can’t do anything close to that as a level 5 toon and hardly any buffs affect XP gain from crafting
The main ones I’d recommend are:
- Guild crafting boost (from the bartender)
- Fireworks (which apply to xp gain from all sources)
- Crafting Booster (which you might not have access to).
And I believe that’s it — the rest you would use while exploring the world. If you go after the “yellow” foes on a map, you gain additional XP based on how long it’s been since they were last killed (and typically, if you visit map corners, that can be a triple or quadruple bonus per foe). And most boosts do affect XP gained from kills, so it’s easier to speed up that sort of leveling.
Really appreciate you took time to explain all this. Thanks a lot, it was really helpful.

Glad I could be of help.
Enjoy your new character (and your newly found crafting abilities).
