Why does the effect text appear on the head of the one who put the field instead of the one who actually finished the combo?

So that you can learn who the players are that give you the fields to use. You should watch for those guys and learn how to line up on their fields and mobs in/behind the field.

My main is a mesmer and I drop LOT of fields. I see the name of the combo effect on the finisher of the combo. Now I know who the smart players are who line up to use my fields.

Not like fields are hard to see anyone can combo them xD. Now i didnt know the combo notice was player based i thought everyone could see it even if they were not related to the combo.

Some fields are pretty obviously, others are less noticeable and a lot depends on your graphics settings and where you are playing. If you’re lagging out in the Eternal Battleground and you’ll never see one.

Also, there are still plenty of heroes who will happily use a knockback or pull on a mob, kicking the mob out of the field. That doesn’t always help, but try to tell them that.
