And how about exotic versions? Can these only be crafted; and if so, where do you get the recipes?

Not quite sure where the trinket recipes are from. The wiki seems to be incomplete there.

I guess it’s a bug, but the exotic recipes are named “Recipe: Charged Ambrite Orichalcum Ring/Amulet/Earring”
There will be another recipe with the exact same name as the one you want. The commanders jewelry recipes will be much more expensive than the recipes for actual charged ambrite jewelry; I’m not aware of another way to tell the difference.
if you want exotic commander trinkets. Don’t waist your gold in buying/making them. imo its better to take another stat combination for power, thoughness and precission. and just put a platinum doubloon inside the exotic trinket. You get more stats and boon duration exept if you go for ascended trinkets.
taking 5 exotic commander trinkets you get around 14% boon duration.
When you take 5 exotic tinkets and put in a platinum doubloon you get 20% boon duration.

Yeah i thought about it after I placed the post =D. But I have now a 100% boon duration mesmer without the use of bountifull sharpening stones and commander trinkets.
Armor and weapons are asc commander, trinkets are exotic berserker with platinum doubloon, sigil of concentraition and sigil of force, chronomancer runes and golden doubloons ( ok it’s actually 98.5% boon duration I know but that 1.5% isn’t going to make any dfference. I don’t even know if anet’s round those numbers )
