I’m still new to spvp. One thing I’m confused about is the end of a match. It says it’s over and brings up this dialog box summarizing things, but there’s still combat going on. I’ve died while trying to look at my results. What’s the deal with fighting after the match is over? Does it affect anything? Can I safely just ignore it and not care if I die and just look at the summary screen instead? Or should I instantly dismiss it and keep playing? I’ve seen people capturing nodes after a match ends, not sure the point of that.

It’s irrelevant. Just look at your results.

Oh also, what does it mean at the start of a match when it says “Play A vs Player B”?

For PUGs, it just picks a “team leader” and that is also irrelevant. That feature is really for when guild teams fight, then it will say “The Tigers” vs. “The Lions” or whatever the guilds are.

when match is over, its over, dont worry bout it.. if u win or lose, there are always ppl that will just keep attacking after match is over cuz they are either salty or angry…

I like the idea that you can still fight after the match is over. Had the last 30 sec of the match a good 1v1 against a mesmer. When the match was over we kept on going because it was a very good balanced 1v1 and no one would add because they already left. After the match we did some more 1v1. Sometimes its fun that you can end the fight that you started.
