People are saying you can unlock traits from certain events. Now I’m not saying they’re liars but where can I find this information and which events unlock which traits?

If you go into your trait list, you’ll see a handful of traits which are locked. These are the new traits added in yesterday’s patch (at least for old characters… any brand new characters will have to unlock all traits this way from now on). One for each trait tree. You can hover over the spyglass / telescope icon next to the icon to see how to unlock those traits. Most of them are different events (a few Orr temple events, the Karka queen, and one is just finding a chest in a ship).

Or you can buy unlock books from profession trainers if you don’t want to unlock them by doing events or other things.

If you hover over the spyglass icon next to a locked trait it will detail what you need to do to earn or buy it. If you click on it, the map will show you exactly where you need to go to earn the unlock.
