Aethyer – 80 Thief -
Piken
So Ive recently hit 80 & find myself confused how I see so many people running round in “kitten” gear. I know there is gear from crafting but where are the non crafting sets from? Can they only be obtained from dungeons or is there other means of getting good looking gear?
Im mainly a WvW player so havent ran many dungeons to know whether this is the case. Any answers/tips would be great
Well the base stats on all lvl 80 gear are the same the difference being runes. Some folks aren’t really bothered with what they wear so stick with whatever they find. Some are normally scouring places to get the unique looking armour or getting their cultural armour.
Exotics can be obtained from dungeons, the temples using karma, drops and if I’m not mistaken you can get some armour by exchanging badges. Not sure about the tier though.
Most of the different looking armour seems to be from dungeons, crafting or karma. I hit lvl 80 recently running around in dropped armour. Only now have I recently started to take care on my chars looks. At the moment I’ve now found the armour pieces and look that I like, however pieces are lvl55 – 65 with the exception being my ascalon boots.
Over at Operation Union the folks there run dungeons fairly regularly mainly in the evenings both NA and EU servers. I’ve run AC to death since lvl27 so I have enough tokens to buy a full set of armour and the weapons I want.
@OP: the forum censored the word you used between " ". I’m curious you meant ‘horrible’ or ‘awesome’?
Anyway, here are some useful links for you:
GW2 Armor - all the exotic armor in the game
GW2 Armor Gallery - how all the armor in the game looks like
Dulfy - endgame gearing guide
I hope these will help you.
Thanks for the two very helpful posts!
& oh “kitten” gear xD What it was supposed to say was bada__ soooo yeaaaah haha
Thanks again
There’s over 30 different armor sets in the game for each armor class, and people like to mix&match various crafted, dungeon, karma and dropped gear according to what they wish their character to look like. Transmutation stones help a lot in getting the look you want, as do sites like gw2armor.com that allows you to browse through your options.
