Guild Wars 2

Just returned been away since the first year (probably)..

So I get HOT is an expansion.. But Im guessing the seasons are story elements – so do you pay for these as extra on top of the expansion as well as needing HOT or is everything seperate..

I will probably take HOT but I dont feel a rush as I still have the original story to finish – but I dont get how the seasons work especially as I can see I can buy season 2 discounted

If you log in while the season episode is current, it is saved to your account so you won’t ever have to buy it separately. You won’t be able to play it until you get HoT, but you won’t have to worry about buying both as long as you log in.

Just thought though do I need to play the other seasons or will the story make any sense (I have practically now finished the orig season)

And season 2 is over and done with way before hot launched so you will have to buy that if u want the ap/items.

If you just want the story you can find someone in game that have it unlocked and play it with them.

No, because season 1 took place in old tyria, and season 2 is dry top and silver wastes, which wasn’t part of HoT.
