Q:

How can I switch the content guide to off so that my story, daily, monthly etc. are all invisible? The settings in the UI (off, default, disable personal story etc.) doesn’t seem to do the trick.

Thanks.

I don’t think its possible. The best you can really do is minimize the windows by clicking on the title. If there are specific “Watch List” achievements you want to disable you can toggle them on/off by going into Achievements and clicking the (eye icon).

There is an old thread about this here:

You’ll get the “normal” daily/monthly/story updates in the top right corner back as you level up. I forget exactly at what level, but somewhere between 13 and 18, iirc.

Here’s a wiki article outlining the level rewards and unlocks following the September update:

That list isn’t the content guide, that’s why it’s not affected by the option to turn it off. It’s not actually a single feature, although the way it’s laid out can make it look like one.

The content guide is the little compass arrow that points you to your story, map completion stuff, events etc. That can be turned off via the options menu.

Then there’s the achievement list, which can be cut down to just 1 achievement by adding one to your watch list or removed completely by completing both the daily and monthly meta achievements. But it will reappear the next day, until you complete the daily again.

At the moment there’s also a notification that the Blood and Madness event (aka Halloween) is running. This can’t be removed at all.

And below all that you also have what the wiki calls the Event Assistant, which is a list of hearts, events etc. which are currently active in your area. These appear and disappear as you move in range of them, but you can’t disable them.
