Sorrow’s Furnace
I watch YouTube videos of good players and notice they make complicated multi-key movements, fire off skills, and control the camera with the mouse all at the same time. Do they have three hands? What am I missing here?
It sounds like you are using the arrow keys. This is a no-no for me when gaming.
I have my left hand on the WASD keys and my thumb for jumping with the space bar, so then I can use my right hand to move the camera around.
I also use my left hand for the number keys, which activate my skills.

This is what I’m talking about. If you’re moving with WASD, how do you fire number key skills at the same time? I even see ele players swapping attunments, using skills, and moving around all at once. I feel like I’d need at least two left hands.
I found my gaming got a lot better when I stopped using the keyboard to move. Mouse buttons left plus right to move and steer etc. You can use the A & D keys to strafe or get a mouse with side buttons and map the strafe and dodge keys to those. This leaves the keyboard free for skills.
That said, a lot of what you are seeing in the videos is the result of a lot of practice and natural talent. And possibly underpants of +10 dexterity…
Keys that are easy reachable while using WASD are:
Tab, Q, E, R, F, C, X, 1, 2, 3, 4, Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Middle Mouse.
Just experiment with the key binding.
The Logitech M570 thumb trackball for my right hand, and a Logitech G13 game pad for my left. By holding down the right mouse button and using the thumb stick on the left for movement, I get very fine grained control. And using the keys on the G13, my fingers can quickly hit all the attack/defense/healing controls while still moving, dodging and rolling.
It’s easy to trigger your weapon skills while on the move. Trickier for the heal and utilities since those aren’t easily reachable by default. My guess…they have their keybinds set up so they can easily access all or most of their skills with their left hand with some additional binds on their mouse. There’s also the possibility that they have a high-end gaming mouse with a lot of side buttons, which makes the process a lot easier.
