OK, I need quite a few and other than burning all my gold on the TP for them, I’d like to try farming for them…
I had some success in Frostgorge Sound initially and got 5, but that was mid-December, and now I’ve not seen a single one drop in ages. I’ve done Jormag event, I’ve ran HotW dungeon (though I got a glacial core) – but the corrupted cores/lodestones are nowhere to be seen.
Can someone please suggest a place to look – other than the TP – my gold is reserved for T3 pieces

Did you do HotW story or explorable??. For the rest your doing the right things (I guess your farming corrupted creatures in frostgore). Maybe invest in some +magic find gear. It really boosts the droprate (wich is very low).

Also running around with +mf gear when farming the corrupted creatures in Frostgorge, that’s where I got my first 5… heard about RNG and diminishing return but thought that it would reset after a while.
Tend to try farming a while, long enough I should have chance to get one lodestone, then do something else, etc. and not try again for another day or more…
Will probably just have to do more FotM given the January changes…

They’re among the cheaper Lodestones (thankfully!) and you’d get more “Lodestones per hour” if you did dungeons or something for the Gold.

Yeah, lucky for you they dropped in price. I got mine when it was still in the 1g30s range. Now they are under 1g so a few runs in a dungeon will net you 1-2 if lucky.
I’ve made tons of Corrupted weapons when they were 1g30s. 1g30s is still a bargain compared to some other Lodestones. It really helps having an entire map dedicated to dropping them
