I’ve been leveling at quite a satisfactory rate, but my Leatherworking and Huntsman professions haven’t. I feel like it takes really really long to level these up, even when using discovery. It also takes awhile to get the materials and I end up farming and the repetition of this drives me away from playing sometimes. Any advice on crafting?

If youre not using discoveries, you should. They give huge amounts of xp (both crafting and player). Try to make as many different kinds of weapons and armors as you can. If you need the special items (fangs, totems, etc) I’ve found one of the best ways to get them is to farm bandits, centaurs, and ogres. They drop bags with random materials in them.

Trick to discoveries is to always use orange insignia’s.

To further go on with both comments, orange insignias matched with armor/weapons in the discovery tab that have never been combined will level you faster. If you keep making the same pair of gloves all day that you get zero xp. So here’s a good thing to keep in mind about crafting, if you can’t use that weapon or armor you made & don’t wanna wait to use it? Break it down to raw materials, you won’t get everything back but hey more crafting components. Yeah grinding for materials is a pain but fighting those bandits for totems, skelk for leather, & griffons for claws is worth it for the xp & the rare item that could pop up; like a new bow. Ive already spent countless hours on my huntsman (255) & just a bit on leatherworker (175) but keep at. It pays off at the end.

I have a level 43 elem that I am currently farming in level 15-25 zones just for the rare crafting items.

It’s making me bored with this game very quickly, and won’t be buying any expansions until they fix it.

And Yes I Know I don’t Have to Craft, But I like Crafting!.

Eh im level 62 and able to make 65 weapons and armor for my guardian. I know what mobs drop the items i need and when i find them in proper level area’s i single them out till i have the mats i need to make my gear.

Yeah, and now with the new update, you’re going to have an even worse time gathering mats from those sacks that drop from monsters.
The sacks now drop cooking mats more than they do jute scraps and other things needed. :|
