Crafting EXP Question
anet nerfed it a few months ago, you used to get 10 levels, now 7
I see. That’s rather… sorry, can’t think of a nice way to say it. What was the point? Most crafting professions are quite expensive to level, it’s not like new players were leveling too fast using the crafting (unless they were buying gold from the in-game store).
Would I be wrong to assume that the experience gains from other sources were nerfed within the past week or two? I ask because when I first started back I made a new character and leveled it to 80 without too much hassle then leveled a second older character up as well, but now this current character I’m trying to level this past week has been doing all the same things I did with the others but it just feels like the grind is ten times worse than it was before and I’m getting no where levelwise.
I don’t think anything else with exp was nerfed
I got my warrior from 32 to 80 in three days just farming boss blitz
it’s in the crown pavilion in divinity’s reach, it’s temporary content though, will be gone july 1st
To be a bit clearer, what happened is they raise the level cap of most crafting profession to 500. But kept the fact that leveling from 0 to max will give you 10 levels.
Since you are stopping at 400, you are only getting 7 levels. Even if currently, cooking and jewel crafting cannot go beyond 400.
They did not nerf it….per se. They extended the crafting on most crafts to 500 and the same level XP is spread over the 0-500 range. That means only a bit more than 7 levels is available when crafting to 400.
Currently, Chef and Jeweler is kind of nerfed, however (as they still only allow 0-400 advancement).
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
