Guild Wars 2

I have two characters around the lvl 75. One is Ranger and the other is Guardian.

What weapons are the best one can craft for that level? I have weaponsmithing mastered.

Also, please, share opinion on what insignia to use. Both my characters are currently pretty much patchwork quilr build (i.e. wearing whatever the personal story has offered or what has happened to drop). I am open to all suggestions.

I am not sure what you are asking. If you have weaponmsith mastered ( to skill 400) I would assume you can look at all the weapon except bow and scepters and staff.s

However I would grind to 80 and get an exotic weapon

as Nepocrates has said, you’ll be able to craft most of the weapons both your classes can use. and by best, do you mean in terms of rarity? that being said, i agree as well and just go for exotics. as long as you’re surviving now and dispatching things at a decent pace.

in terms of insignia’s, let’s talk about builds first. what are you going to go for? and more of a focus on playstyle. i main a Guardian so i’ll use him as an e.g. i play for high survivability, mixed with decent sustained damage. i use Knight’s armour (power/precision/tough) and aiming for a mix of knight’s or berseker’s jewelry (power/precision/crit damage). so for my weapons, i’m using either berserker’s or knight’s as well depending on the situation or purpose of my weapon. and for example, my staff, i might have some healing stats it.

off top, for e.g. if you use a lot of conditions for your ranger, than you might want to look at Carrion or Rampager’s.

hope this helps. personally i didn’t really start putting together a build or grinding for it anyways, until i hit 80. i felt picking stuff up along the way was sufficient enough for me and after hitting max, then i really sat down and took the time to plan out what kind of build i want, what kind of armour and stats would go best with it. and go from there. and even now, i’m still not entirely decided so aiming to build multiple sets of armour.

oh, also, depending on what you want to do in the game, i put together a magic find set and that’s what i wear in PvE pretty much (apart from dungeons).

Thank you. I probably should not have written my question so late at night, when I was falling asleep in my chair. What I meant was:
a) How do I pick the right level armor to craft from all that there is to craft? (This I did figure out this morning. I found where it shows the output level.)

b) I was looking for recommended builds, so I could choose what inscription/insignia to choose for my items. (I like akamon’s thinking a lot, but if anyone else wants to chime in, my ears are open.)

The reason I was looking for the ‘best for the level’ is to make the rest of the levelling journey a bit easier, since they will be fighting for it the last five levels. And things do get tough out Orr way in outdated gear, I know from my own experience with my first lvl 80 character. Also, because I have enough materials to make these thing for free/hardly any cost as well as rares at lvl 80. Exotics will come slowly for gold is not something that stays in my characters’ bank account very long.
