Hello, I would like to craft the Tempered Spinal Blades back item and have a few questions.

About two years ago I crafted the Advanced Spinal blades and selected soldier stats for it. Since then it has been transmuted once, and just kinda sat in the bank.

Q1: Can I still use it in the mystic forge if it has been transmuted?
Q2: Do I have to keep the soldier stats, or can I change them when I upgrade it?

Transmutation won’t affect it.
If I remember correctly each time you put it into the MF to upgrade it resets the stats back to selectable. You’re getting a new item, not the same one beefed up.

Hey Littlehorn…once it’s transmuted you cannot use it in the forge. It should say so right in the description. (NOTE: Cannot be used in the Mystic Forge if transmuted. )

Isn’t that note a legacy from prior to the current transmutation system? Before the Wardrobe?

You will have to choose — the mystic forge always destroys the original items, replacing them with new ones.

It does say that, but I think that’s misleading — you can’t use a different item that was transformed into the Advanced Spinal.

If the forge doesn’t recognize, try adding the ori ingots first.

Yes, I believe so.

I can confirm this. Just finished tempered spinal blades. You can use something transmuted, and the stats are selectable after completion. Thanks everyone for the comments
