Guild Wars 2

With full exotic berserker’s armor, full exotic berserker’s accessories with 2 ascended berserker accessories, and berserker’s weapons, the game tells me I have a 33% critical chance. I thought this was normal and you were supposed to add runes of the eagle or something to raise the crit chance but according to a friend I should be well above 50% perhaps near 70%. Could anyone confirm this and if so tell me what is going wrong?

Be sure to not confuse “critical chance” and “critical damage”; those are “completely” separate stats.

But 33% it pretty low. Both should be higher. Critical chance should be >50% and critical damage >60%.

Are you sure you weren’t downscaled when you checked ? wore the right equip (undamaged) and the right weapon (underwater) ?

are you traiting for precision?

Fury: 20%
Banner of Discipline: 8.1%
30 points in precision trait line: 14.3%
Any extra sources of precision: 21pts=1%

Stack it. Have fun.

Maybe a silly question, but you weren’t in a downleveled zone when checking those stats?

Per above, your EFFECTIVE level (down or up scaled) determines a significant portion of your Crit Chance.

Sorry for not specifying but no I was not scaled. I was in Lion’s Arch when I checked. I planned on doing something similar to what you said Young but that won’t fix if i’m missing stats I should have.

I’m at 65% crit dmg, and 38% crit chance once again with full exotic berserker’s armor, full exotic berserker’s weapons, 2 ascended berserker’s accessories, and 3 exotic berserker’s accessories. I have nothing in the precision trait line and do not have a zerker backpiece. I am a level 80 warrior.

Any ideas?

Just use the formula from http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Precision
I just checked using full exotic berserkers and crit chance should be around 37.7% so with some ascended added in 38% sounds right.

Sounds like your friend is using Signet of Fury and you are not.
