Critical damage and power
Try a bowl of curry soup I believe… +10% crt dmg and 100 precision.
Sharpening stones or maintenance oils will provide you with extra power.
It’s simple:
Power = Base dmg
Crits = 150% of Base dmg
Crit dmg = Bonus % on the 150% Crits
If you have 1000 Base dmg and you do a critical hit, it will do 1500 dmg. If you have 50% Crit dmg, it will do 2000 dmg (150% + 50% crit dmg = 200% of the base dmg)
The more base dmg (Power) and the more Crit dmg %, the higher your critical hits will get. Think about getting the sigill with the 25 Power stacks (+250 Power) too.

So is Sigil of Bloodlust better than Force?
also, is Runes of Scholar worth getting?
You’d use bloodlust until you get the 25 stacks before swapping out to a force as once your at max stacks the bloodlust runes giving you nothing (unless you go downed lots) if you can’t get a second weapon to swap into after you get the stacks bloodlust is still technically a better investment.
As for runes of scholar they are nice if they give what you want.

Sharpening Stones → Power
Maintenance Oils → Precision
I think I mathematically showed a while ago that adding precision is always better than adding critical damage (because of that base +50%).
but power vs. precision depends on how much of each you have. Balanced amounts of each give the most damage output.
Nretep: I thought the same. then I re-read Quality Maintenance Oil: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Quality_Maintenance_Oil
it’s the only one that doesn’t add to precision. bug, perhaps?

the description for that oil is wrong, it adds precision just like the others
oh? awesome.
last night I found 3 typos:
Orichalcum Gaunlet Plates – http://www.gw2db.com/items/56316-orichalcum-gaunlet-plates-s
Mithril Gaunlet Plates – http://www.gw2db.com/items/56304-mithril-gaunlet-plates-s
Darksteel Gaunlet Plates – http://www.gw2db.com/items/56292-darksteel-gaunlet-plates-s
I submitted the bug report, but I bet they probably knew about this since launch and decided it’d be too hard to correct. think about how many recipes use this and would need changing and likely break as a result, then all the TP posts that probably also need changing, then the items. can’t have a single spot with different name otherwise it won’t be recognized (like how transmuted legendaries don’t count as legendaries)
