While helping a guild mate today, Came a cross a rather odd occurrence, seems I’m unable to enter the instance of someone in NA When i reside in EU. That being said, another guild mate says that the ping from NA is the same as if playing from EU, Can anyone confirm/deny this?.. i dont have access/knowhow to moniter my ping in this way, and would like to know if i moved to a NA realm, would it affect my ping at all, connecting from EU?

Yes, it would affect your ping but prolly not notable.

Anet has servers on different locations. each server (not realm or world!) will have a different ping. NA servers are oprimised for access from NA and EU servers are optimised for acces from EU. but in the end the routing of packets (wich is making the ping time) is being optimised so the difference is getting lower and lower. I doubt if you will experience a real difference.
