Alright, so by now a good chunk of the community knows that you can add custom playlists to your GW2 music folder, to play the music you want in place of the game’s natural music.

I decided to start creating somewhat large playlists to customize my gaming experience. However, when testing the main menu screen music… I noticed that it only plays the first song in the playlist. It doesn’t randomize the music… so it seems pointless to make a long playlist for the main menu.

For anyone that have made playlists for in-game music.. does this also happen to all theother types of music? Battle, BossBattle, Ambient, Night, etc?

Does it always start from the first song in the playlist, or does it randomize the music with every time you log in? I stopped making my playlist currently, as it would be very… monotonous and boring to hear the same song start every time I log into the game. Is this issue only found with the main menu, or does it extend to other areas of GW’s music?

The issue is with all the playlists – it always plays the first song first and then it randomizes. The workaround is to add an empty sound file at the beginning of each playlist. You can also use my soundtrack editor tool that does it all for you.
