Guild Wars 2

I have seen lots guides and i have tryed them and i can’t add my own musics into the game, i don’t know why, my doc – GWs 2 folder doesn’t have a Music folder inside…just Screen shots folder, what can i do?? i added the music folder and stuff but still don’t work

Do like I did…Turn off the in game music through the Options, and open a browser window, type in the address of your favorite music streaming service. Rejoice!

but i want the In game like, when i join a city, a certain music, when i start vs boss, another one, i did like wiki but isnt working!

That’s not what the OP was trying to do.

I will tell you exactly how I used to do it to avoid problems. (it is a lil extra work but it works)

1. Go to the GW2 folder as described and make a new Music folder.
2. Create new folders inside the Music folder. Each sub-folder will be labeled as one of the types of music. (Ambient, BossBattle, etc)
3. Copy the songs you want for each sub-folder and place them in their sub-folder.
4. Use VLC player and open the groups of music in each folder (one at a time) and save them as a playlist.
5. Name each playlist as you normally would (Ambient, BossBattle, etc) and place them inside the Music folder (NOT inside any of the sub-folders)
6. You are done.

BTW: This method takes longer but is just a safe way of doing it so you won’t have problems. Also, The sub-folders are so you can have an untouched copy of the songs you want for the game.

The game will always look in the same spot for the songs in the playlists, so if you move them then it won’t work. That is why I make sub-folders with copies of the music I want to use so that I can move my originals around or delete them or whatever without messing up the ingame music.

Just delete the music folder that you made and everything will go back to normal.

If you want to remove your custom music, make a folder named “Backup” and put all the playlists in there, if you want to use your playlists again just move the playlists back to the main Music folder.

But i put 3 songs into a single play list and named it: Battle, when i go PVP it doesnt work, u guys know whats happening?

check the wiki for the list of allowed song formats- you may have one ore more songs in a format that doesn’t work

It’s been a long while since I played with custom playlists, but assuming it wasn’t changed, PvP uses boss battle playlist.

Only downside is that the game won’t play the music randomly, so eventually you will keep hearing the first 2 or 3 songs on each playlist over and over and over again…

I ended up just using my vlc player as i game.

Hmm guys, i fixed it up, battle is working, but somethings strange….but maybe it’s normal
The musics only start when i respawn, and then last long only 10-15 secs, then stop, is that normal?? even if they are 3min long?
