Can we confirm whether or not switching toons will actually circumvent the diminishing rewards for loot?

Say I get DR drops on Character A. If I switch to character B will I still get diminished drops on him?

What if I switch to character B and farm something else entirely?

In addition, how do I know when diminishing rewards for loot kicks in? And when?

I’d relog every half an hour just to be safe.

I switch to a low level character after farming all the time and I have not seen any change in loot drops for them when I am just doing whatever and leveling. I am sure someone will tell you the exact opposite though.

Does shutting the game off after farming for a particular item for 30min actually reset the DR code and allow one to continue farming for said particular item?

The answer, at least from a lot of sensationalists (as far as they can be trusted) is that a) DR is account bound, so that if you farm like hell on one character, the DR will be on the alt (whether or not it’s JUST for that area is unconfirmed), and that b) since it is account bound, simply turning off your game or logging out or switching areas does not reset the DR.

Keep in mind this is speculation taken from other threads that really needs to be taken with a shaker full of salt.
