I am at 13,661 on my daily achievements total. for the last week, I am not getting the 10AP, even though it shows in the summary screen. Anyone have any ideas? I am stuck at 23,496 for a week now.

There is a hard cap on how many achievement points you can collect as the result of Daily Completionist. That cap is 15,000 AP.

The 15,000 point cap also includes the no longer available monthly achievements. Perhaps those combined with your daily points have put you at the cap.

I overlooked that. Thank you for clarifying, and yes the now-defunct monthly AP gets added towards the daily AP cap — according to Wiki.

It’s a bit confusing because the cap is on “dailies plus monthlies”, but people commonly refer to it as a “cap on dailies”.

I still don’t understand why (a) ANet doesn’t make reaching the cap an achievement (so that people get informed that they’ve reached the cap) and/or (b) change the mouse-over to show progress towards the cap (instead of relying on people to add up the numbers).

There’s a function in the Achievement tab in the Hero Panel, where you can hover over your total achievement point count. It divides the AP into sections, including the amount gained by daily completionist. I just stumbled upon it; hopefully this might be useful to you.

(Note you must hover over the total at the Achievement tab in the Hero Panel and not the Character Select Screen.)
