I’ve been trying out a necromancer recently and I think I’ve come across a rather annoying bug. I don’t think it’s intended to work this way. It didn’t start happening ‘till I changed my traits from a condition build to a staff/well based build. Maybe I’m wrong and its not a bug and is from a trait (I highly doubt it, it makes death shroud almost completely useless).
Since I’ve changed my build, every time I enter death shroud I’m unable to use any of the death shroud abilities for a few seconds. I thought maybe it was other players causing me to be unable to use my abilities upon entering death shroud so I tried it many times to be sure. It doesn’t seem to happen on test dummies but whenever I’m in a match and I enter death shroud I can’t click any of my abilities for a few seconds. Its like the buttons freeze for a few seconds (no ability cool down/interrupt or anything, I just simply cant click them. whether by hot keys or mouse). By the time I’m finally able to click them my life force is almost gone and I’m knocked out of death shroud and die shortly there-after. As you can see this can be incredibly annoying, it basically makes death shroud completely useless in pvp.
Well, you say you think it happened when you changed your build, so maybe try changing it and seeing what happens? I have never run across this, I play as a “minion-master”, as in all my skills are minion summoning, with a staff or dagger/focus.
Encountered this a LOT in SPvP the other day. Thought I was stunned or KD, but it happened so often, even when I wasn’t near people. I took couldn’t reproduce it on dummies, it only happened when in combat with actual players.
Okay, so I changed my build again today and the problem remains.. Its incredibly annoying.. I think I’ll just stop playing my Necro till its fixed.. Very disappointing
I don’t have that issue with Death Shroud. But more times then not when I pop into it, it will automatically end. At first I thought I was hitting something to take me out, but after it happened close to a dozen times I doubt that’s the case. Not only that, but hitting it is pretty much a death hazard to me. It will pop me in, and then back out. I’ll see my skill bars immediately but they have no skills on them for a couple of seconds. A few seconds of being useless tends to kill me.
