I’m kinda wondering, what happens if you died and you were flat out broke? Where can you teleport to for free? I’ve had close calls before, WvW and buying siege designs and ran out of money to teleport anywhere once I tried to go back to pve zone. Running into town on my lvl 1 Sylvari and took a big fall to my death due to not being familiar w/ the multilvl layout. First time I had my bf bail me out, second time I was lucky and had just enough coppers to tele back to lion arc – the first place i went to upon getting out of the starting area was heart of the mist-> lion’s arc.

But if some was unlucky and did not have any money, would they be stuck dead forever? o.O

This forum is terrible. Ports are free if you have no money on you.

Ask someone to revive you in chat…for a cost. xD

I sometimes arrived dead at a waypoint (in wvw, don’t know the exact circumstances anymore) and the npc’s revived me. but in the ‘real’ world (pve) you’re pretty much screwed. I don’t think you can port without any money so there’s really only mapchat and hoping for a good soul coming to revive (especially bad if you’re in an unreachable location after a long fall) or sending you some coins.

another idea would be to send yourself an ingame mail (if its possible) with emergency money. you won’t be able to spend that money accidentally and can just get it out of your mail when such a situation occurs.

Apart from these very unsatisfactory workarounds, I guess the answer would be: don’t die without money, learn to at least keep a few silvers on you all the time.

I believe that it was mentioned that the closest waypoint would be free, and only the closest one.
